TikTok patch shuts down wrong security hole

Microsoft has revealed that a high-severity vulnerability in the TikTok Android application could allow accounts to be hijacked "with a click".

Attackers could access and modify users' TikTok profiles and sensitive information

Such as making private videos public, sending messages, and uploading videos on behalf of users," Microsoft explained.

The vulnerability in question was present in all versions of the TikTok Android client, 

which have been collectively established more than 1.5 billion times.

The issue was resolved soon after the case was revealed.
